Drinking Water System
Drinking water is distributed to customers through a 375 mile network of pipes ranging in diameter from 3 inches to 42 inches. There are approximately 9,000 valves and over 3,900 fire hydrants throughout the community. Five underground reservoirs and 3 elevated tanks provide water storage.
Report a Problem
To report possible water breaks, please call 701-355-1700 and select option 4, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. In the event of a possible water break after hours, please call 701-355-1700 and select option 0.

The bulk water fill station is located on the south side of the Public Works parking lot. The water from the bulk water station is typically used by contractors.
Flowpoint Water Solutions is a dispensing system that provides a reliable delivery of water to the customer and is available through a prepaid key fob system. The cost is:
- $15 Bulk Water Prepayment Key fob
- $7 per 1000 gals ($0.007 per gallon)

8:00 am to 4:00 pm, at 701-355-1700 option 4.
The Annual Water Quality report is also known as the Consumer Confidence Report. The report is part of maintaining compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s guidelines to provide information on tap water produced by the Bismarck Water Treatment Facility and provides you with specific test results to show the quality of Bismarck’s water and compares those results to EPA standards for drinking water.
