Crime Reports Mapping is an online tool provided by the police department that allows community members to view recent crime activity in their neighborhoods through an interactive map. This system promotes transparency, keeps residents informed, and encourages community involvement in crime prevention.

What is ArcGIS Online Crime Mapping?
ArcGIS Online is a source of information for citizens to stay abreast of what is occurring in and around their neighborhoods. ArcGIS Online provides general information about call response and crime trends throughout Bismarck.
How often is the ArcGIS Crime Map updated?
The information found on ArcGIS Online crime map is updated daily. There may be a time delay due to information being updated in the system. The information that is posted is archived for a period of 30 days.
Are all crimes that occur in Bismarck posted on ArcGIS Online?
No. Some crimes that are sensitive in nature or where investigations are currently underway are not included in the data. The Bismarck Police Department works hard to get as much information out to the public and pays specific attention to the crimes that concern our community members. Additionally, responses to calls that do not generate a written incident or arrest report are not included in the data.
Is more information available?
General information can be obtained by making an inquiry at Bismarckpd@bismarcknd.gov. Certain public records requests must be handled through the Bismarck Police Records section. In order to or obtain records or reports, you must come in during the normal business hours of the Records Section, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Please be advised that there may be a fee for records, and requests may take several days to process. The Records Section may be reached at 701-223-1212.
