Monitoring Report
Introduction
The purpose of the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Monitoring Report is to provide a comprehensive understanding of existing conditions and recent trends influencing transportation within the Bismarck-Mandan region. The geographic scope of this document generally includes the five MPO member jurisdictions, including Bismarck, Lincoln, Mandan, and Burleigh and Morton Counties.
The Monitoring Report is a living document (updated December 2025) reflecting and monitoring various topics which impact the transportation system. The document considers three topic areas: People & Housing, Employment, and Travel. Within each topic, relevant historical and current information is presented for the use and enjoyment of the public, transportation professionals and consultants, and public officials. Future trends and projections are also provided as applicable. The report is intended to be an interesting and approachable snapshot of the Bismarck-Mandan community.
