  1. Thinking Money for Kids - Financial Literacy Exhibit

    July 16, 2022, 9:00 AM - August 22, 2022, 9:00 PM

TM4K is a traveling exhibition designed to teach kids and their families about money. The multimedia experience is designed for children ages 7 to 11, as well as their parents, caregivers, and educators. The interactive exhibit uses games, activities, and a fun storyline to help children understand what money is, its function in society, money choices, and money values, such as fairness, responsibility, and charitableness. The library is hosting the exhibit thanks to a competitive national grant from the American Library Association (ALA) and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. The exhibit will be on display, along with a series of related special events, from July 16 to August 22, 2022.

At Art Empowered, we will focus on the wonderful women who helped shape the art world despite all the challenges before them. Each day, we will learn about two female artists and their art styles, and we will create our own art projects with new perspectives. Thanks to The Capital Gallery, art materials will be supplied free of charge! Participants are asked to wear painting clothes. This camp is open to youth ages 8-12. Registration is required.
