  1. One-on-One Career Support

    Reserve a time to received one-on-one career support including resumes, cover letters, job applications, apartment searches, school enrollment, setting up an e-mail, and others. Please reserve a time slot by calling the Information Desk at 355-1480. Walk ins are welcome, but are not guaranteed a spot. Interpreters available please call ahead to check availability. * We cannot help with legal issues, immigration/USCIS paperwork, medical translations, or taking exams. Volunteers supplied through Bismarck Global Neighbors.

  2. English for Everyone

    Practice speaking English without fear of making mistakes. This is a chance to meet new people and learn about new cultures, as well as to share your own culture with others. You will improve the conversation skills that will make you a better worker, student, and community member. In a relaxed, small group setting, you’ll meet people from all over the world. All levels of English accepted!

  1. B.A.R.K. (Bismarck Animals Reading with Kids) registration begins

    October 1, 2018, 9:00 AM - October 6, 2018, 6:00 PM

    B.A.R.K. is for kids who want practice reading with non-judgmental listeners - dogs! The Library offers this special program with local therapy dogs. Children in grades K-5 sign up to read aloud for 20 minutes to a dog (handler present). Contact Youth Services for more specific details. The Fall schedule will feature reading sessions on Monday evenings and Thursday afternoons in October/November. Preregistration is required and begins October 1. Independent readers in grades K-5 may register for 2 sessions each. Scheduled dates/times: Monday, October 22 - 7:00-8:10 p.m. Thursday, October 25 - 4:00-5:10 p.m. Monday, October 29 - 7:00-8:10 p.m. Thursday, November 1 - 4:00-5:10 p.m. Monday, November 5 - 7:00-8:10 p.m. Thursday, November 8 - 4:00-5:10 p.m.
