We would like to update you on the on-going reconstruction of East Century Ave.
Temporary Roadway
As you have noticed, travel through the construction area from the west limit to Stonewall Dr. has been placed on a temporary gravel roadway. We anticipate this to remain in place and current traffic patterns to remain until approximately mid-August. Please continue to follow all traffic control signs and devices and remain aware of your surroundings while traveling through the work zone.
Underground Utilities
Underground crews have been working diligently on both watermain and storm sewer updates. These crews will be finishing watermain work in the coming week and begin focusing the bulk of their efforts on installing new storm sewer.
52nd St. NE
Work has also been underway on the expansion of 52nd St. NE to tie into East Century Ave. The underground work on this section of the project has been completed and is now in the grading phase, preparing for asphalt pavement.
