BISMARCK, ND—The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished a grass fire on the NE side of Bismarck on Wednesday evening.
At approximately 5:51 PM on March 19th, 2025, the Bismarck Fire Department received a call for a grass fire south of E Century Ave. Bismarck Fire crews were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at 5:55 PM to find smoke and fire burning in a field of roughly three acres. Bismarck City firefighters and Bismarck Rural firefighters charged hose lines from three brush trucks to extinguish the burning field.
No injuries were reported. The fire was contained to the three acres. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
The Bismarck Fire Department would like to remind city residents that additional Burn Restrictions are in place when the fire danger index is at the “Very High” or “Extreme” level or when the National Weather Service issues a Red Flag Warning. During these conditions, all recreational fires are banned. Recreational fires include portable or permanent outdoor fire pits.
