On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 9:00 AM the Broadway Avenue & Airport Road traffic signal will be taken out of service. Afterwards, eastbound and westbound traffic will be free-flow and northbound traffic will be controlled with a stop sign.
The traffic signal poles have reached the end of their life and traffic volumes are not high enough to satisfy the federal criteria to install a replacement traffic signal. Operations will be evaluated during a 90-day trial period. At the end of the 90-day trial period, if operations are determined to be satisfactory, then the traffic signal will be permanently removed.
