BISMARCK, ND—The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished a garage fire in the 1600 block of Mapleton Avenue in Bismarck this morning.
At approximately 10:27 AM on February 18th, 2024, the Bismarck Fire Department received a call for a structure fire at a garage on the 1600 block of Mapleton Avenue. Bismarck fire crews were dispatched to respond.
Firefighters arrived to find a row of garages with smoke coming out of the eves and several garage doors. Firefighters forced entry into several garages and found a vehicle burning in one of the units. The vehicle fire was quickly extinguished, and the attic was checked to ensure the fire had not extended into the attic space. Fire crews searched for and extinguished any remaining smoldering materials.
No injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters.
Fire and smoke damage was contained to three units. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
