City of Bismarck heavy equipment operators made it a clean sweep of events at the 12th Annual City of Bismarck Public Works Roadeo on Wednesday, September 27.
Gary Steiner claimed a pair of individual event titles in the motorgrader and loader events, on his way to the overall title, his first. John Butman, who also works for the City of Bismarck’s Public Works Service Operations, netted the top score for the truck plow individual title.
More than 30 individuals competed in the event. The Roadeo brings together heavy equipment operators from Bismarck, Mandan, Burleigh County and Morton County. Along with the competition aspect of the Roadeo, the event serves as an opportunity for equipment operators in the community to refamiliarize themselves with the equipment they will utilize throughout upcoming winter months.
