Starting at 7:00 AM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, 12th Street between Bowen Avenue and Michigan Avenue will be restricted to local traffic only with limited access. Contractor will be laying out watermain on the west side of the roadway. Installation of the watermain will begin on Wednesday.
Turning movements will be restricted at intersections.
A detour route will be in place. Southbound traffic will be detoured at Main Avenue to 7th Street, then south to Arbor Avenue and then east back to 12th Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured at Arbor Avenue to 9th Street, then north to Main Avenue and then east back to 12th Street.
This traffic closure should be in place for approximately two weeks to make connections to the new watermain.
