The Missouri River Flood Map that is available in print and on City, County and State websites is based upon a scenario of an 18 foot river stage, and 85,000 cubic feet per second (CFS). The current map was created in Phase One point in time at 85,000 cfs to assist citizens to take individual actions to take to protect their homes.
A new map, Phase 2 is being developed and will show diking and protective measures based upon the updated 120,000 cfs forecasted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We anticipate the new map will be available later this afternoon.
