Gov. Doug Burgum today asked that all flags in North Dakota be flown at half-staff on Sunday, Oct. 8, in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
The governor’s directive is in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Donald Trump, who has proclaimed Oct. 8-14 as Fire Prevention Week. The president also called on all Americans to participate in the observance with appropriate programs and activities and by renewing their efforts to prevent fires and their tragic consequences.
