Bismarck's City Wide Street Sweeping Schedule Update. Crews will continue with the schedule listed below, weather permitting, until all residential streets are swept. Dates are subject to change without notice. It will take approximately 2 to 5 days in each area. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sweeping Guidelines for Residents and Businesses
- Residents are asked to move vehicles and trailers off city streets before the sweepers are in their area.
- Residents and businesses are reminded not to rake or blow leaves or grass into the street.
- Grass clippings plug our storm water system; please keep grass clippings out of the gutter line and street. Adopt an Inlet.
- Residents may take grass/leaves to the yard waste sites or place the bags out for garbage collection. Businesses should take grass/leaves to the landfill during regular business hours
- Do not rake the sand from your boulevard into the street. Please rake the sand into a box and set it out for garbage collection or take it to the landfill during regular business hours.

Sweeping Direction
Crews will begin on the east border of the area and move west bound.

Street Sweeping Tips
- Street sweeping operations can be dangerous.
- Parents are advised to keep children away from all street sweeping operations.
- Stones and other flying debris could be hazardous. Motorists should drive with caution when passing street sweepers.
- Maintenance areas tend to be dusty and visibility may be restricted.
