Critics and audiences agree, New York-based writer and standup comedian, Michael Che is a star on the rise. Having recently been named one of Rolling Stone’s “50 Funniest People,” Buzzfeed’s “50 Hottest Men in Comedy” and Variety’s “Top 10 Comics To Watch,” he is quickly leaving his mark on the media landscape. A native of lower Manhattan, Che’s comedy used humor to identify humanity in the most controversial actions. He applies street culture to world issues with a delivery that the New York Times describes as “a reflective, laid-back stage presence with jokes that draw as much from his city upbringing…as from blunt, insightful points that bring the abstract into focus.”
Che made his debut as the newest co-anchor of the “Saturday Night Live’s” iconic “Weekend Update” segment this past September, where he also serves as a staff writer. Prior to joining “SNL”, he was a special correspondent on the Emmy & Peabody Award-winning “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”
Jay Pharoah, is an American actor, stand-up comedian, impressionist, rapper and voice actor. Currently in his fifth season of “SNL,” Pharoah is well known for his stellar impressions of President Barack Obama, Jay Z, Denzel Washington, Kanye West and many others. Pharoah also made a splash with his memorable “SNL” character, Principal Daniel Frye, based on Pharoah's actual high school principal.
Pharoah and guest host Kerry Washington’s parody of “What Does The Fox Say” went viral. Their version, “What Does My Girl Say,” reached four million views in one week. Pharoah’s film resume includes “Ride Along” (opposite Kevin Hart and Ice Cube) and Chris Rock’s “Top Five.”
