Starting at 6:30 pm, tonight, Thursday, July 22nd, River Road will be open to through traffic between Burnt Boat Drive and the Water Treatment Plant. Speed limits are reduced and No trucks will be allowed at this time.
Motorist should exercise caution in this area due to the irregular road surface and raised manholes and gate valves. Motorists should be aware of these hazards even though they are marked with cones.
On Monday, July 26th, the City of Bismarck Street Department will be paving the roadway between the Water Treatment Plant and Meriweather’s. That stretch of roadway will be closed to traffic during the paving operation. Traffic should access the area from Burnt Boat Drive.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route until the paving operation is complete.
Weather permitting; the paving operation will be finished by Wednesday, July 28th.
