Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, the intersection of Washington Street and Boulevard Avenue will be closed to traffic. Detours will be in place. Westbound traffic will be detoured from Boulevard Avenue south on 1st Street to Avenue F, then wst on Avenue F to Griffin Street back to Boulevard Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured from Boulevard Avenue south on Griffin Street to Avenue F, then east on Avenue F to 1st Street back to Boulevard Avenue. Northbound traffic desiring to go east will be detoured from Washington Street east at Tower Avenue to 1st Street, then north on 1st Street to Boulevard Avenue. Northbound traffic desiring to go west will be detoured from Washington Street east at West Avenue F to Griffin Street, then north on Griffin Street to Boulevard Avenue. The purpose of the closure is to install new water line and widen and reconstruct Washington Street. Work will be done by Mariner Construction. Work is expected to be completed by Saturday, July 9, 2011. Traffic should seek alternate routes. Your patience is appreciated.
