[ARCHIVED] City Says Map Should Serve as a Guide Only

Earlier today, the State Water Commission released a new map of the water table in south Bismarck. This map shows areas that could have issues with groundwater, given the rising Missouri River level

City leaders say the map should serve as a guide only.

Due to the wide variety of soil types, building materials and methods used in housing construction in south Bismarck, it is difficult to provide a universal recommendation to the individual homeowners on how to deal with groundwater concerns.

It is recommended that concerned homeowners contact a licensed and bonded contractor to evaluate and discuss available options.
