Starting Tuesday, July 30, 2024, 3rd Street between Main Avenue & Thayer Avenue will be closed for a contractor to perform a milling operation of the roadway. During this time, Broadway Avenue between 3rd Street & 4th Street will also be closed. When this area is complete, the contractor will mill 3rd Street from Thayer Avenue to Rosser Avenue. Each roadway segment will be opened after the milling is complete.
Starting Thursday, August 1, 2024, 3rd Street between Main Avenue & Thayer Avenue will be closed for a contractor to perform a paving operation of the roadway. During this time, Broadway Avenue between 3rd Street & 4th Street will also be closed. When this area is complete, the contractor will pave 3rd Street from Thayer Avenue to Rosser Avenue. Each roadway segment will be opened after the paving is complete.
Work is expected to last approximately 1 day for each milling operation and about a half day for paving operations, weather permitting.
On street parking will be restricted during these operations, but pedestrian access to all local businesses will be maintained. A detour will be in place from 3rd Street west to 2nd Street, for all northbound and southbound traffic, for both operations.
