Residents of the Southport and Harbor Drive area are being advised that due to emergency levee construction in the Fox Island area they must evacuate with their vehicles by 7:00 pm today (May 30) as vehicular traffic will not be possible for approximately 72 hours until the levee construction is complete. Plans are underway to provide shuttle service for these residents using the bike path along Riverwood Drive. Residents will be required to walk from the Southport area to these shuttles. Bismarck Police officers are currently going door-to-door in the Southport and Harbor Drive area providing this notification to residents.
