Due to increasing river levels, residents of Bismarck’s Southport neighborhood are being asked to prepare for evacuation.
Bismarck Police Officers are going door to door this morning, providing information to help residents prepare for evacuation. At this time, NO evacuation is being ordered.
The river forecast indicates streets in the Southport neighborhood will eventually become inundated with water, making vehicle traffic impossible. Fire, ambulance, and police services will be severely limited in responding to emergencies when water inundates these streets.
