Bismarck drivers are reminded that August 24th is the first day of class for Bismarck Public Schools. With the beginning of school comes a change in driving patterns. Drivers are asked to exercise additional caution in the vicinity of schools and crosswalks. Allow additional time in your travel plans to account for increased foot and vehicle traffic around schools.
On school bus routes, drivers should pay close attention when approaching school buses loading and unloading students. Use extra caution in the hour leading up to the start of school, and the hour following the end of school in these areas.
