[ARCHIVED] Street Cleaning Will Begin April 25th (weather permitting)

The City of Bismarck Street Department will begin sweeping residential streets, weather permitting, on Monday, April 25th. Residents are asked to move vehicles and trailers off of city streets before the sweepers are in their area. It will take approximately two to three days in each area.

Residents may rake sand (not grass or leaves) from their boulevard into the street only if there is no heavy precipitation forecast. We also request that this is not done more than one week in advance of the sweeping schedule. If sweepers have already been in your area please rake your sand into a box and set it out for garbage collection or take it to the landfill.

Sweeping Areas 1 & 2:

•Begin Monday, April 25th: Area 1: West of Washington Street and south of Main Avenue
Start in southwest corner of Area 1 and move north and east.

•Next: Area 2: West of Washington Street between Main Avenue and Interstate 94
Start in southwest corner of Area 2 and move north and east.

Sweeping Days & Times:

Monday – Thursday from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm Fridays from 5:30 am to 4:30 pm

City crews will continue this schedule, weather permitting, until all residential streets are swept.
