[ARCHIVED] Bismarck utility rate community stakeholder meeting to be held Sept. 19

Bismarck Public Works Utility Operations is near the final stretch of the water, sewer, and stormwater rate analysis. The next small group community stakeholder meeting will be held Wed., Sept. 19, from 2:00 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Bismarck Public Works, 601 South 26th Street, to receive additional input. This meeting will include information about:

 

1. Recap of customer characteristics and additional analysis

2. Updated cost of service allocations results to each customer class

3. Discussion of rate structures and specific rate calculations for each customer class to recover cost to serve

4. Review of bill impacts for multiple customer types resulting from the new rates

 

Public Works Utility Operations expects to hold another community stakeholder meeting to receive input about Other Fees/Charges, Oct. 8, and to bring the study to completion in November.  

 

Past stakeholder meetings have included a May 24 presentation, June 11 input from stakeholders, August 1 revenue requirements, and September 5 stakeholder discussion. A City Commission presentation was held June 26 on the Phase I Results.  The presentation materials are available to view on the City of Bismarck website.
