The Bismarck Police Department held an award ceremony today to honor employees and citizens who, because of their actions during the past year, are deserving of recognition.

Meritorious Service AwardOfficer Jon Lahr- Honored for actions taken responding to a domestic assault Former Officer Paul Olson- Honored for actions taken responding to a domestic assault
Life Saving AwardOfficer Kai Engstroem – Honored for actions taken responding to suicide call.Former Officer Nick Prigge - Honored for actions taken responding to a suicide call.
Letter of RecognitionDetective Scott Betz-Honored for his work on a child sexual predator investigationOfficer James Anderson-Honored for actions taken during a medical emergency
Safe Driving Certificate – Given to members of the department who routinely perform their duties in a department vehicle and have not been the cause of a traffic crash in five years. Three employees received this award.
Civilian Letter of RecognitionChris Horn-Honored for being a Good Samaritan by helping a motorist in need
