To spotlight the impact of national and community service and to thank those who serve, Mayor Mike Seminary and Mayors across the country are participating in the third-annual Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service on April 7, 2015.
Mayor Seminary recognized community service and volunteerism today, how it improves lives, and strengthens communities. He enjoyed engaging with senior citizens today at the Bismarck Senior Center and in the homes of seniors today while delivering hot meals to them. "Volunteers provide a very important and needed service in our community and I encourage all of our residents to recognize the positive impact of community service, to thank those who serve, and to find ways to give back to their communties."
Mary Siverson, Director, RSVP+ and volunteer meal delivery driver said, "There's is a big, big need for meal delivery drivers."
