Ryan Taylor presents his talk "As Good as Norway: Lessons from Norway's Seas for North Dakota's Prairie Oil Boom." Taylor was named a leadership fellow of the Bush Foundation in 2013, and chose to study the oil development policies and practices of Norway. He has a particular interest in the pioneering "Ten Oil Commandments" passed by Norway's parliament. He chose to study oil development in Norway because of North Dakota's cultural ties to the country, and the fact that 30 percent of the state's citizens can trace their heritage to Norway.
