At 3:33 pm today the Bismarck Water Treatment Plant scrubber system for gas containment detected a chlorine gas leak. The scrubber system is in place to detect and prevent any release of gas into the atmosphere. The leak is contained. The public was not in danger. Fire and Police personnel responded and River Road was closed for a short period of time during the response. In an abundance of caution the Fire department made entry and placed a containment kit on the chlorine tank.
