[ARCHIVED] Adopt-A-Roadway Program

The Public Works Department offers the “Adopt a Roadway Program” to organizations that want to do community service and pick up litter from roadway ditches. In return for their volunteer labor to pick up debris, the Public Works Department will provide trash bags and will pick up filled trash bags and bulky debris placed at the edge of the roadway/ditch area.

To date, four groups have volunteered for this program.

1.University of Mary Alumni Association is picking the east side of University Drive from the Airport entrance to Airport Road
2.Dans Supermarket North is picking the west ditch of State St. from Weiss Ave to Century Ave. 3.Swenson, Hagen & Co. is picking both sides of Highway 83 from 43rd Ave to Weiss Ave.
4.The Young Professionals Network of Bismarck-Mandan, Burleigh Ave from University Dr. to Washington St.

Thank you to these groups.
