Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012, Turnpike Avenue at 5th Street will be closed to through traffic to make connection to the water main located on the north side of Turnpike Avenue.
This closure will be in place for approximately 5 working days, weather permitting.
No detour wil be in place.
Westbound traffic should use 6th Street to Capitol Avenue, then west to 4th Street, then north to Turnpike Avenue.
Eastbound traffic should use 4th Street to Capitol Avenue, then east to 6th Street, then north to Divide Avenue.
Drivers can expect to encounter congestion during peak traffic periods at the 4th Street and Divide Avenue intersection.
Drivers should exercise caution in the area near the 4th Street school crossing before and after school.
Drivers are urged to utilize alternate routes.
