[ARCHIVED] South Bismarck Watershed Storm Water Master Plan Update - It's Not Too Late

A public information update on the South Bismarck Watershed Storm Water Master Plan was held Oct. 27 If you were unable to attend the meeting please take a moment to view the power point presentation and sumbit your questions and comments here by November 7.

Residents and businesses located within the boundaries of the South Bismarck Watershed are encouraged to view the presentation and ask questions or make comments.

The South Bismarck Watershed includes the following areas:

• Bismarck Expressway to Burleigh Avenue from Washington Street west to the river
• Washington Street to 12th Street from the storm water channel north to and including the downtown area

The focus of the study is as follows:

• Storm water channel and sewer system function• Storm water flooding along Expressway and South 12th Street and the adjoining areas during storm water events
• Identify improvements that mitigate the potential for storm water flooding including cost analysis• Storm water channel pump and control features

The South Bismarck Watershed Storm Water Master Plan does not include Missouri River flows, the management of the Missouri River system or the effects of the river outside of the South Bismarck Watershed.
