[ARCHIVED] Recovery Centers to Close At 2 P.M. On Saturdays

Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) providing disaster assistance information to North Dakotans affected by spring flooding will close at 2 p.m. on Saturdays beginning August 27.

DRCs affected include:• Bismarck
Bank of North Dakota1200 Memorial Highway

• Minot
Ward County Courthouse315 Third St. SE

The DRCs will be open Mon. - Fri. 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will be closed on Sundays.

The DRCs are available for residents who like to speak one-on-one to recovery representatives. However, it is not necessary to visit a center to receive disaster assistance. State and federal officials encourage those affected by the disaster to register for assistance immediately by calling: 800-621-3362 (also applies for VRS and 711-Relay users) or TTY 1-800-462-7585. The toll-free line is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT. Individuals may also register for disaster assistance at www.fema.gov or www.disasterassistance.gov or by smart phone at m.fema.gov.
