    Help engage in building North Dakota history! Bring in personal documents, photos, objects, etc., to be converted into digital files and then displayed online on Digital Horizons. All participants will be provided flash drives with digital copies of their items. Please sign up at the library to reserve a time slot. Each participant may bring 10-15 items. Brought to you by the North Dakota State Library and the Bismarck Public Library.

  2. DIY: Book Folding Art Class

    July 23, 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Teen Headquarters (HQ)

    Transform a book into a work of art in this workshop with Kathy Kirschman. With simple folds you can create an infinite number of patterns by repeating the folds on book pages. Books and supplies will be provided to each participant. Pre-registration is required! Call or stop by the adult reference desk to sign up(355-1480). This is a joint teen and adult programming event; all ages grades 6 through adult are invited to participate.

  1. Toddler Story Time

    This story time focuses on songs and books because we are teaching children to love and appreciate stories, and we are also helping them learn how to attend a library story time. Singing also helps develop language, sounds, and patterns, which all builds on your child's early literacy skills. There are no puppets used during Toddler Story Time so that the focus can be on the stories, songs, and books.

    Wiggle Time is an hour long free-play for children and their parents or caregivers. They are invited to explore a mix of play experiences including blocks, puppets/puppet stage, dramatic play toys, trampoline, and other play equipment. Adults must be in attendance at all times and are responsible for children's safety.

    Join us for a family-friendly movie in the Story Room. Bring your cushions and your covered drinks, but please leave the snacks at home. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult or babysitter aged 12+.
