    Sanford Health is offering a diabetes self-management workshop just for you. Topics include healthy eating, tips for exercising, and managing blood sugar levels. Workshops are no charge.   3. Founders Day with the Slaughter Family

    Bismarck Historical Society invites you to celebrate the 147th birthday of Bismarck! Students from Lincoln Elementary School will sing the National Anthem and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Descendants of Benjamin and Linda Slaughter will share ancedotes and a slide presentation on the Slaughter family, past and present, will start the discussion. Performances of two Linda Slaughter songs ("When Friends are False" and "North Dakota: a Song for the State") will end the evening. This event is made possible through a partnership with the Bismarck Public Library.

Plus, story time fosters a close emotional relationship between you and your baby. Babies learn to associate books with the pleasure of being with parents, and this pleasure will translate to a love of reading.
