Children's Library

  1. Toddler Story Time

    November 13, 2018, 9:30 AM - 9:50 AM @ Children's Library Story Room

This story time focuses on songs and books because we are teaching children to love and appreciate stories, and we are also helping them learn how to attend a library story time. Singing also helps develop language, sounds, and patterns, which all builds on your child's early literacy skills. There are no puppets used during Toddler Story Time so that the focus can be on the stories, songs, and books.

  4. Story Time with Miss North Dakota's Outstanding Teen

    November 13, 2018, 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Children's Library Story Room

Join Micah Schlittenhardt for a special story time. Micah is Miss ND Outstanding Teen, and she has an important message to share: "Regardless of our age, an important lesson is the realization of everyone’s beautiful qualities and unique gifts. In the modern classic Rainbow Fish, we are introduced to a beautiful fish that shares his prized possession and in return gains great happiness. Similarly, we all can experience happiness when we share our talents and gifts while helping others. For me as Miss North Dakota’s Outstanding Teen, a gift and love for dance translated into increasing our community’s awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and Dance Therapy. Join me as I share two picture books that connect our gifts with helping others. Given the opportunity, you might even learn a couple of dance moves and the classic pageant wave!"
