On May 22, the library held its annual Volunteer Ceremony. Library Board Trustee Michael J.B. Schaff acknowledged the contributions that volunteers make to the library and the role they play in creating an atmosphere that makes the library an inviting place to visit. Library Director Christine Kujawa thanked volunteers for choosing the library to donate their time and recognized them for sharing their skills, experiences, and ideas. “This is an opportunity to contribute to our community, and work with library employees and other volunteers” said library volunteer Hal Neff. In 2016, the library had sixteen ongoing volunteers and 22 temporary volunteers. They collectively provided the library with 1,280 hours of work.
