Library cards are free to Burleigh County residents. You can get a library card by coming in person to the library, or you can apply online.
You must bring a current and valid North Dakota issued drivers license or a North Dakota issued non-driver identification card to register. If the address on your ID is not current, you must bring proof of address. If you registered online, you will be asked to show your ID and proof of address when you come in to pick up your library card.
If you are between ages 13-17, you can show ID or have a parent or legal guardian show us his or her ID to get a card.
Children under age 13 will need a parent or legal guardian present to get a library card.
If you live outside of Burleigh county or only intend to be in the area a short while, you may register for a non-resident card at $20 per year.
